ROSKI YARD is an independent fashion company specialising in archival fashion, vintage and fashion history.

We work across research, sourcing and consultancy, exploring the stories, people and cultural contexts behind clothing.

ROSKI YARD was founded by Freya Roski and Debbie Yard. We met during our fashion studies, but our relationship with fashion had began much earlier.

Freya began collecting runway and designer clothing from a young age, fascinated by clothes and the creative worlds behind them. She was constantly looking, sourcing and following what interested her. What began as collecting gradually became a way of looking at fashion, understanding designers through their clothes, following references between collections, and discovering the stories and ideas held within the garments themselves.

Together, we developed this into a practice shaped by a shared fascination with fashion, combining instinct, research, visual thinking and a broader cultural perspective. That way of looking at fashion continues to shape how we work today.

We work with brands, businesses, institutions, collectors and private clients on projects connected to fashion history, archival fashion and vintage.

Our approach is curious and intuitive, grounded in research and close observation. We follow what interests us, ask questions, make connections and look for the stories behind the things we encounter.

The Fashion Archivist extends this perspective through conversations with the people who have shaped fashion, preserving personal experiences, knowledge and perspectives that might otherwise be lost.

Through ROSKI YARD, we explore fashion through its objects, its history and the people who shaped it.
